The Orient

More and more, the Orient is being discovered and celebrated. In particular, Southeast Asia is an interesting place to visit - vibrant with culture, cuisines to excite the palette, extraordinary service at every hotel, old world charm amidst mega-malls and high-end shopping galore. Out of the city lights and glamour, explorers and tourist alike find peace in warm sandy beaches in places like Krabi.

Our travelers visited Thailand's Krabi - a beach community an hour away from busy Bangkok via plane.

Long tail boats to take us to resorts and surrounding islands.

A street view of Ao Nang in Krabi - this is where most of the hotels and shops are..."the heart of town."

Each morning, breakfast was served here on the hotel roof top.

Looking inland from the rooftop, there are traditional Thai structures.

The sunset view from our room at Queen's Bay Pavilion. It was expected that it would rain at 4:00pm each day for about 15 minutes...our travelers just planned accordingly.

The view of the pool at Queen's Bay.

Inland, we found this. A walkway to a mineral spring.
